Our Story

WiRL was founded by Dr. Alexandra Goodman & Dr. Keshia Suhail in July 2019. Two PGY-2 Internal Medicine residents at SUNY Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY.

Dr. Goodman & Dr. Suhail were hoping to create a strong network of women residents to promote empowerment, growth & unity. As WiRL grew, the first board of members were elected in December 2019 and a sister chapter was created at Allegheny General Hospital in February 2020.
